My Story, Why I Got Into Essentrics!

Have you ever been injured and couldn't play your game?

Do you want to be active and pain free at every age? I do.


My favorite activity besides spending time with the kids and grand kids, is social dancing. It's my sport, my game.  I dance for exercise and fun.  But one night in Tango class my muscles attacked my IT band so abruptly I had to leave class. That New Year's Eve  I couldn't walk across the dance floor let alone dance around it.  Whether you're an athlete, or an active person, you, too, do not want to be sitting on the sidelines.

 

After several months of seeking professional help, experiencing pain, frustration and tears, my friend Maureen said, "Maybe you should try Essentrics / Classical Stretch."  Immediately I started doing Essentrics "Pain Relief " and "Ultimate Stretch" workouts, They relieved my pain immediately and ultimately repaired my "IT Band" injury.  In less than two weeks I could dance for 20 minutes, and improved back up to hours!

My Mom, Dorothy Godfrey Crowther

 My Mom, who lived to 101 1/2, played "exercise" with me from the time I was two.   She was healthy, energetic, and always kept her sense of humor. Here she was 95, with my sister Dee and me. She wanted to be more active in her last years. I intend to help others be active longer.

 My children and their families, all have taught me about love, caring, patience, courage, persistence and bravery. They have supported me to do as Goethe said, "Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it!"
